Announcements

Manchester Communication Academy is excited to announce we have been awarded £40k from Garfield Weston Foundation. The funds will be used to support our ‘Beyond the Classroom’ Community Learning Programme.

The award will enable MCA to transform the community learning programme into a new virtual community hub which provides both targeted youth support and universal wrap around support for families and older residents during the covid-19 lock down.

At any one time, over the next 12 months the programme will be supporting over 400 students and families, 500 older residents and a cohort of 150 adult learners.

We are absolutely delighted with this award, particularly during the current situation, where community action is all the more important.

-Dr Patsy Hodson Executive Director and Vice Principal Social Investment.
